Battlefield 2042: EA says Halo and Covid are blaming at the flop

Again and again we report on the events and stories around Battlefield 2042. The game is quite controversially and for Electronic Arts by its design and its numerous technical mistakes. Total subreddits have already joked against the shooter of DICE and hundreds of thousands of players continue to call back their money via petition. Now Electronic Arts has discussed the situation internally and says to have identified the true reason for the flop:

COVID-19 and Halo are sometimes blame on the flop of Battlefield 2042. (Buy Now 23,52 € / 53.99 €) This claim was expressed recently in a Town Hall Meeting Electronic Arts, in which talk about the current Battlefield and the disappointment around the game. But how exactly is the connection between Halo, Covid-19 and the flop around Battlefield 2042.

Halo and Covid guilt at the Battlefield-2042 flop?

Although they were also prepared to acknowledge the technical blemishes of Battlefield. In addition to various problems during development, the topic of home office was called a problem factor. Battlefield 2042: The hut burns, players fall for another all-time low

The game numbers of Battlefield 2042 have reached the next negative milestone on Steam.

Also over the beta and the first patches was spoken. According to Miele, the game after the first patches was technically considered relatively stable. But then the sudden release of Halo: Infinite multiplayers has adversely affected the perception of the player's shape. Finally, the comparison between Halo and Battlefield presented the 343 shooter as a stable game and thus deteriorates the perception of Battlefield.

EA can learn from Microsoft

Funny is this circumstance just because Halo: Infinite originally 2020 should have appeared. But due to one of his chaotic development, they had decided to postpone the game despite the publication of the new Xbox Series X to 2021. In retrospect, the right decision considers that, among other things, you think of our pretty good rating in the test for the game.

Surely the flop of a game is a complex topic. EA is a discourse on different aspects and also confesses that Battlefield 2042 has not met the expectations. But the discourse smells again and again after euphemisms and the search for excuses. Maybe in the future you should cut off a slice of Microsoft and move larger releases. Whether shareholders would support such decisions is on a completely different sheet.
