Valve launches the shipment of Steam Deck: The new PC handheld is available from today. Anyone who pre-ordered one of the devices in July 2021 in time, received an e-mail last Friday to complete the purchase and order. The Steam deck is likely to be delivered in the coming days. Customers who could only take a little later the pre-order, are in the queue further back - and may need to wait a bit until they also get the e-mail for the purchase process.

"We noticed that there are questions regarding the reservation group of the first quarter (ends on March 31) and when people of this group receive their e-mails," writes the company. All customers who are in the time window for the first quarter will receive their requesting e-mail to order according to the end of March. The next momentum emails goes out on Monday, March 7th. Possible that the notifications arrive again at around 19 o'clock - so keep your mailbox in mind.

And what about the second quarter?

The e-mails should be sent until the end of March in the weekly clock at pre-order of the first quarter. Decisive is the order in which the reservations have been received. "In April, we start equivalent with those in the queue for the 2nd quarter," adds Valve. If you are currently pre-ordered a steam deck, you have to wait a little longer: "We work according to our production schedules and soon have news for the pre-order of the periods after the 2nd quarter," adds Valve.
