Steam Deck users who play popular games will be prohibited
Steam Deck is not compatible with all Steam games, and is not even compatible with all popular games in Steam. That said, if you try to access a popular game in Steam in particular while using Steam Deck, the game will prohibit it. If I expected that Steam Deck launch would allow him to bring Destino 2 on the fly, well, Bungie has crushed those dreams. Bungie has not only confirmed that it is not compatible with Steam Deck, but it seems that there are no plans to change this.
However, Bungie does not stop there. Bungie points out that anyone who tries to avoid this restriction "will find a game prohibition". This, of course, suggests that the restriction is easy to avoid, otherwise, Bungie would not threaten the action. Meanwhile, it is not clear about the severity of the prohibition, that is, if it will be permanent or not.
«Destiny 2 is not compatible to play in Steam Deck or on any system that uses Steam Play Proton unless Windows is installed and running», says Bungie. "Players trying to start Destiny 2 at Steam Deck through Steamo or Proton will not be able to enter the game and return to their play library after a short period of time. Players who try to avoid the incompatibility of Destiny 2 will be with a prohibition game.
As always, we will keep it updated as more information is provided. This includes not only bungie updates, but also of Valve, which still has to comment on the decision of one of its partners to keep the game outside its new platform.
Steam Deck is available at various different prices. The cheapest model costs $ 399, while the middle-level model costs $ 529. And then there is the most expensive model, which costs $ 649.
